The judicial process surrounding the Kim Halliwell shelter took over a year to conclude. Kim Halliwell was found guilty and banned from any involvement with animals for one year. We have now received approval to begin rehoming the dogs from the case, many of whom are still recovering.

PAWS-PATAS also faced challenges with the land on which our shelter stands, which was not registered in our name. With the land now registered and our buildings legalised, we are pleased to have secured the adjacent plot.

This land will give us nearly 17,000 square metres, allowing an additional 3,000 square metres of new buildings and facilities. This will form the foundation of a modern, purpose-built shelter, dedicated to giving vulnerable animals the best start in life.

With the launch of this website—and our updated GDPR compliance in handling patrons’, adopters’, and volunteers’ personal data—PAWS-PATAS is entering a new chapter as a stronger, professionally run organisation.

We will be launching several fundraising initiatives and warmly invite all our supporters to join us. Please check our What’s On page, watch for announcements, and support our events in any way you can.
