Last year we appointed a new lawyer to support the Executive Committee and as a result, we discovered that we had not recorded the resignation of some members of the Executive Committee from previous years and therefore the election of the 3 vocals held on 31st July, 2024 could not be formally added to the Register of Directors held by the Junta.
In addition, we have made some changes internally and therefore we have decided to hold an EGM to rectify the situation.
At this EGM we will also be proposing to make some changes to the Statutes, to bring them in line with our aims and practices, taking into account the New Animal Welfare Law, which was published in September 2023 and to ensure that the 4 Officer roles are covered legally, should we lose an Officer, for whatever reason.
