Congratulations to Gus and dog, Chico, the 11th winners of our PAWS-SOME Club. Gus chose the name of a previous dog who was in the care of PAWS-PATAS to represent him in the draw, so Gus has him to thank for the €250 Amazon vouchers he’s chosen!
Chico was found abandoned in August 2022, around the age of 6, with an extremely high leishmaniasis count and was very stiff and sore. He had a chip but the owner didn’t respond to phone calls or texts from PAWS-PATAS.
Taken to our shelter he cried nonstop in the intake kennels and one of our volunteers, Clodagh, kindly offered to foster him as he had clearly previously had a home. He settled in straight away, showed how super friendly he was, was clean in the house and loved to go out for walks. Needless to say it wasn’t long before he “adopted” Clodagh, Peter and their other three dogs.
5 years later Chico has ongoing treatment for his leishmaniasis but is the happiest and most undemanding of little dogs and all he wants is to be with you.
Clodagh and family love his affectionate nature and they’re equally devoted to him as he is to them.
A happy ending for Chico, a complete family for Clodagh, Peter and their dogs and 250€ for Gus to spend at Amazon. How lovely is that?
Well done to all and enjoy spending your vouchers, Gus
