Committee Member/Secretary Christine Knox holds up shelter volunteer John Sutcliffe’s precious pony tail which is about to get “chopped off” in order to raise much needed funds to help with renovations at the shelter.
John and Viv Sutcliffe have volunteered for PAWS-PATAS since February 2012 and have witnessed hundreds of cats and dogs being saved and safely delivered to their “furever homes” in Spain and overseas. It has taken John 28 months to create his “Neanderthal” look but he decided to donate his locks and raise much needed funds for PAWS-PATAS.
John looked a little wary before allowing his pony tail to be removed...but wife Viv was only too pleased to give it one swift snip and commence with the shearing! John raised a whopping 500€ which is going towards the constant renovation requirements at the shelter. The Executive Committee extend their thanks and appreciation...”it’s amazing what people do in order to raise money and help us” reports Chrissie Cremore (Acting Vice-President)...”we welcome all wacky but of course ‘safe’ ideas...keep them coming” she enthused.
Also a MASSIVE thank you to Michael White, founder of geckografix.guru for bringing PAWS-PATAS into the modern world and kindly redesigning and presenting us with a fresh and innovative new website for FREE. This is so exciting and we are extremely grateful for his amazing generosity, patience and time. Also PAWS-PATAS wants to help YOU as YOU help us. We now have an Information Centre in Turre connected to our revamped outlet. Monday - Saturday: 10:30-13:30. For more information email: dogs@paws-patas.o
